So even though I loved Pike's non-series books when I was younger, I had never heard of this series. The path follows the life of the original witch of the town, and maybe we'll find some of the lost kids at the end. Want to Read saving…. They have a definite soft spot in my heart. The Spooksville books by Christopher Pike were the books that got me into reading when I was younger. Initially unsuccessful when he set out to write science fiction and adult mystery, it was not until his work caught the attention of an editor who suggested he write a teen thriller that he became a hit.

He seems to enjoy writing about powerful women more than anything. I enjoyed rereading this book, will most likely continue listening to the series.

The crux for me is the humour in the series. A spooksviole series based on the book was commissioned and premiered on October 26, on the Hub Network. Of course, Adam, Sally, Watch, Cindy, and special guest star Bryant manage to save the day and everything returns to normal or as normal as Spooksville can manage. On the show Sally makes a lot of remarks about Adam being her future Prom date, but the kids are a few years older The TV episode that is based on this book follows it almost to the letter. She says Ann Templeton is an evil witch, but I don't think she's that evil.

Loved this author as a kid, so I was super excited when I saw spooksvilke series. If only I would've discovered spookaville when I was younger!

Will Cindy become a bigger part of the series, sticking around to eat donuts with the trio in the next book, The Haunted Cave?
